Privacy Notice

Transportadora Turística Astarea, S.A. de C.V., with Tax ID (RFC) TTA150914LY1 and registered address at Av. Xcaret, Mz. 2, Lt. 5, Plaza Monarca, Locales 22, 23 & 24, SM 35, Cancún, Q. Roo, C.P. 77508, Mexico (hereinafter “RideCancun,” “we,” “us”), is responsible for the use and protection of your personal data, and hereby informs you of the following, in compliance with Mexico’s Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties.

1. Personal data we collect

To provide our transportation and transfer services in Cancún and the Riviera Maya, we may collect:

• Identification and contact data: full name, email address, phone and/or WhatsApp number, country of residence.
• Service data: flight number, airline, arrival/departure date and time, pickup and drop-off address or hotel name, number of passengers and luggage.
• Payment data: the information needed to process your booking. This data is captured and processed directly on the platform of our payment provider, Stripe, so RideCancun does not store full card numbers.

We do not collect sensitive personal data.

2. Purposes of processing

Necessary purposes (essential to provide the service):

• Manage, confirm, and operate your transportation booking.
• Coordinate pickup with our drivers and follow up on your service.
• Process payments, issue receipts, and invoicing.
• Handle inquiries, complaints, or support requests.

Non-necessary purposes (optional; you may object without affecting your service):

• Send you promotions, discounts, and offers for our services.
• Quality and satisfaction surveys.

If you do not wish your data to be used for the optional purposes, you may indicate this from the outset by emailing privacidad@ridecancun.com.

3. Data sharing

Your data may be shared with the drivers and operational staff assigned to your transfer, and with technology providers (booking platform, the Stripe payment gateway, messaging services such as WhatsApp) strictly to fulfill the necessary purposes. We do not sell or trade your data with third parties.

4. ARCO rights and withdrawal of consent

You have the right to Access, Rectify, Cancel, or Object to the processing of your data (ARCO rights), as well as to withdraw your consent. To exercise these rights, send a request to privacidad@ridecancun.com stating your name, the right you wish to exercise, and a clear description of the data involved. We will respond within the timeframes established by law.

5. Means to limit use or disclosure

You may request at any time that we stop sending you promotional communications by writing to privacidad@ridecancun.com or through the “unsubscribe” link in our emails.

6. Use of cookies and tracking technologies

The ridecancun.com website uses cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience, remember preferences, and analyze traffic. You can disable them through your browser settings, although this may affect some features of the site.

7. Changes to this Privacy Notice

We reserve the right to modify this notice. Any changes will be published on this page with the corresponding update date.

8. Authority

If you believe your right to data protection has been violated, you may contact the Ministry of Anti-Corruption and Good Governance (Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno), the authority responsible for personal data protection in Mexico.
